Living in a Digital World; How to Create an Outstanding Digital Foot Print?

Digital World; Digital Foot Print

In today’s business world there is more pressure on you to niche down on your area of expertise.

Put on the right pair of Digital Running Shoes, and with the right fit you can get out in front of the pack.

You might have a LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Pinterest account or other types of social media accounts but if you are a One Way Digital Conduit you provide no value or interest to most of the digital audience you have the potential to reach.

If all you are is a taker or a dead end on the digital highway eventually, you are going to become Digital Road Kill, and no one is going even to bother to scrape you off the road, a minor speed bump.

The great thing about the Digital World is you are in total control.  You can create valuable content that will ultimately build an audience.  It is a journey and apt to take some time to complete; if ever.

How Do You Take Your First Two-Way Digital Step?

Step One:

Create a Great Two-Way Communication; you have to do as much listening as you do talking; have a process built as both of a sender and receiver.

Step Two:

Give more than you receive and make it noticeable; don’t worry about mutual responsibility or reciprocal relationships.

Why; it is better to give than receive.  It is your message you are sharing.

Sharing My Digital Journey

The Beatles say; “The long and winding road.”

When I first started to write my book; Vault To Investment Real Estate Success I had no idea that writing the book was only the beginning.

To bring my pride and joy (my book) to market, I needed to write between 78,000 and 82,000 words (average size of a business book).

Once I had my words to paper; I was asked to submit a book proposal.  The book proposal is made up of a ton of elements including what my digital blueprint for the launch of my book.

Digital Blueprint?

Yes, how was I supporting the launch of your book in today’s digital world?

What’s the name of my blog?  What is the URL for my website?  Have I been a guest writer for a blog?

As I mentioned earlier I needed to answer the following question; what did my social media presence look like to support my book.

FaceBook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, etc.?

How many social media followers did I have?

What was my digital voice; have I been a guest on a podcast show and do I have any intention of starting my podcast?

Enjoy my next blog and I will reveal the answer.

Things Happen for a Reason

I believe things happen for a reason; bringing my book to market has been one of the most significant challenges of my life and one of the most fulfilling.

The challenge is the length of time to find a publisher, get my book edited and finish writing.

I have never left a task in my life uncompleted, and I know the reward of having a book I can be proud of is within my grasp.

Opened Up a New World

My writing journey has opened my a new world for me; a digital world I had given very little recognition too.

Here I am two years later; have no book to market.  It’s okay; why?

My Digital World; Opening an Audience I Never Knew Existed; A Two-Way Digital Highway

What does your Two-Way Digital Highway look like?

Please leave me a comment and let me know how your digital world has changed in the last few years; does your digital highway go both ways? I promise to answer you back.
