Get Off Your Ass, Look for Opportunity and Love Life
It is easy to get caught up in all of your problems, and I am hoping the title of my blog post gave you a bit of a jolt.
The nice thing about asking you to get off your ass and look for opportunity is we all have regrets. We are not sure how to handle our disappointments, and for many of us, we go to our grave never getting off our asses.
How many of you currently have an issue in your life or regret you are dealing with? How many of you continue to let the excuses pile up regarding this issue or disappointment?
I coach and consult folks about purchasing investment real estate. One of the pillars of investment real estate is adopting a long term buy and hold strategy.
We need to view much of our life as a long term and develop a life strategy around this premise.
The word “hold” is a dangerous one if in the hands of the wrong people. If folks tend to be negative in their life’s approach, they will use the word hold to detain their life and have such a grip they can not let go of the past and move forward.
Those with a definite sense of life; “hold” is all about support and the power of controlling your life and moving forward. What way do you see yourself?
Your life comes at you in stages; it is the natural process of life; from an infant to youth to a young adult to a mid-aged adult to old age; you might be able to delay some of these stages; the circle of life has a way of catching up with you.
We only get one life to live; talk to anyone on their death bed; they realize there are no do-overs; when your life is over; you can’t yell out stop the clocks; time keeps ticking.
Mañana
Getting off one’s ass may not be as easy as I make it out to be; you may think you are going to be around for a long time and you can catch up with your life tomorrow.
I was recently listening to a podcast, and the person interviewed mentioned that; “We all have the time and taking the easiest route is what sucks the lifeblood out of us from reaching our potential in life.”
Are You the Postee or the Poster?
We all are living longer; delaying opportunity and staring at all things digital bogs your ability to Love Life.
Have you not noticed when you live your life in the digital world you spend a lot of time reviewing someone else’s life; are you a person examining someone else’s life more than postings one’s life?
You can go through life renting or borrowing someone else’s memories, or you can get off your ass; take on ownership of your own life.
Taking control of your opportunities and life is why I am a strong advocate of owning your investment real estate; it is one investment vehicle you get to drive to whatever destination you want.
Are you ready to stop living your life through someone else’s rear end?
