Fortune of Fast Friends; Your Community Might Look Like a Family
How many times have you heard people talk about their friends as part of their family?
How through their community have developed friends.
Over the years I have created some incredible friendships through many different communities.
My Dad was in the Armed Forces, and we moved 21 times in the first 21 years of my life. The moving was not always city to city; sometimes it was residence to residence. When you are young; moving from one house to another; can feel like you have moved to another town. Moving this frequent brought so many beautiful people into my life and even though not many of them stayed active in my life.
I have had the occasion when someone from the past pops back into my life. These people back in your life is terrific even if at times it is for a brief moment. How often has this happened to you?
A good friend, Jimmy M. talks about Fast Friends; these are people you meet because of circumstance, and they become friends at a moments notice. Jim just moved to a famous wine area, and a little liquid reinforcement always helps with making friends fast.
Who knew that with social media exploding friends from the past would return to my life? How many of your friends from the past have you connected with through social media?
One of my Dad’s wishes, when my Mom passed away, was to create a way of honoring her life and in the digital world, my Dad and I settled on Ancestry.
Ancestry is a family community and many times you are connecting with your past and relatives who are no longer with us. Through this family community, I have met living relatives from all parts of North America and Europe.
Catching up with old pals, making new fast friends or finding family members have made the world smaller and our lives bigger.
I belong to a large community of investment real estate investors and have for over ten years. This community has helped me grow not only financially but emotionally and spiritually. I am challenged every day by this group of people, and the learning is endless.
I never thought as I started this adventure of blogging I would come in contact with so many interesting people around the globe. It is a great feeling to see people supporting my writing, and my hope is I am helping them/you in some small way.
I also just started a podcast show, and my voice is now reaching people throughout the world, and even though I may never meet any of my listeners, they are my fast friends because they are supporting my voice.
In tomorrow’s podcast episode I have an extraordinary guest; Tiffany Young who talks about her legacy of family, friends, and communities and how having investment real estate in her life has brought so much enjoyment into her life.
We all in a small way through joining communities and making fast friends and reconnecting with others can make a positive impact on this world.
Have you ever thought about through community and communities you can create a legacy that has forever lasting impact on peoples lives and you leave the world a better place because you were part of it?
